Gradient nails! In the last few months gradient nails have
become extremely popular, especially when
Sammy from the Nailasaurus posted her
fabulous tutorial which made it even easier for people to do the gradient manicure
even with creme polishes!
I have tried to do a gradient with creme polishes several
times but it has never turned out very well. I will keep trying though!
For today’s manicure I did a simple nude to blue gradient
with some glitter to help tie it all together. I really like how it turned it!
I can’t decide if it looks more like a starry sky or ice. If
you had longer nails than me, you could do it so that the blue is just on the
tip of your nail like more of a French manicure. Enjoy!
I started out with a base of a Color Club sheer French manicure
pink then added a mixture of blue polishes with a sponge to create the basic
gradient. I then added some of Color Club’s Beyond The Mistletoe and finally
Revlon’s Belle.
I can’t believe how quickly this challenge is going! I am absolutely
loving seeing everyone’s different designs. Come back tomorrow to see day 11
which is Metallic nails!
Thank you for reading!
This is such a gorgeous gradient!!! I love the blue and the glitter really does help to tie it all together. I think that it looks like ice in my opinion and I love it, will definitely being giving this one a whirl in the near future. How do you get the colours to blend so neatly together because when I have tried in the past it has ended up in a bit of a slodgey mess.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I mixed some of the lightest blue with some clear polish to make it sheerer then dabbed most of the polish off the sponge so it was REALLY sheer and thin. Then just gradually built up the colour. I hope this helps!
DeleteThis is so gorgeous :) Love it!
